Views from our 2 "homes" in Italy

This is our neighborhood in Rome. Our last night in Rome, we walked to a restaurant near the Vatican City recommended in the Rick Steves' book. We had a fantastic meal. Best meal since we've been here.

On Friday, we went back to the airport to meet the rest of the students and professors to catch the hired bus to Casa Cares in Tuscany. We we supposed to leaved at 10:30 but half of the participants were on a plane that was delayed for 4 hours. So we waited at the airport until 2 p.m. and we got on the road around 2:30 p.m. The drive to Tuscany was beautiful. It is definitely a big change from big city Rome to beautiful countryside of Tuscany. Below is the view from our new bedroom window!

This is the view from another side of the bedroom window.

This is Casa Cares. Our home for the next 2 weeks! This place is so full of history. Just to think that parts of this villa is older than the U.S.A. has been a country!

They have their own olive grove.

The side of  the house where we have classes outside.
