Here and There

We spent Wednesday mostly in class. The seminars are really interesting and I'm learning a lot. We all got dressed up and took our class picture before heading out to a traditional Italian Tuscan dinner.

Picture of the roommates.

The dinner was quite fantastic. So many courses! They started with antipasti, first course (3 types of pasta including a pasta dish with wild boar, which is a well know local dish), then the next course of grilled meats (steak, pork, guinea hens, chicken, rabbit) that was so delicious plus some sides of vegetables and salad and ended with dessert.
It took about 4 hours to finish dinner. I was sooooooo stuffed.

This is a picture of the Parma Ham that they keep in the wine cellar. It's aged in the mold and they clean up the mold before we eat them. Doesn't look appetizing but it was tasty!

There is a hugh wine cellar under the restaurant containing about 21,000 bottles of wine. Some are really expensive and some are no longer drinkable because they are too old. They still keep some of those for sentimental value. The dinner was quite fantastic.
