There must have been some serious praying going on for this trip to happen for us. I say that because out of all the flights out of Atlanta, we were one of the very few flights that weren't cancelled. More importantly, God provided us a way to get to the airport!! We made it thanks to Brian's parent's all-wheel drive vehicle, a handy dandy hammer that we used to hammer the ice so that we can get ourselves and our luggage down the front steps to the car, and Zach, who possesses mad driving skillz!
Our flight to Seoul was pleasant. The plane was not completely full (a rarity these days) so we got an empty seat between us to stretch out a little. We landed at Incheon Int'l Airport and had about an hour before catching our next flight to Bangkok. We were quite hungry so after getting through security, we headed to the food court for some delicious Korean food. As we were leaving the food court, I asked Brian to check for his passport and boarding pass. He pulled his passport out of his pants but (you guessed it) his boarding pass was missing!! PANIC TIME!! After searching everywhere in the food court we finally went back to the food ordering counter to see if anyone has turned in a boarding pass. Sure enough, someone did. Thank God. We thanked the cashier, grabbed the boarding pass and ran to the gate. We made it just in time!
We arrived in Bangkok a little after midnight (Bkk time/noonish ATL time.) My parents were there to pick us up. It was so good to see them and give them a big hug. After some catching up and getting settled, Brian and I went to bed around 4:30 a.m. and woke up around 7:45 a.m. We went for a little walk, got breakfast at McDonalds where they serve Chicken Mc Porridge (no kidding), and went to a 7/11 to get some odds and ends. We don't have internet up in the apartment (we're having problems getting connected to the Wi-fi) but we can get on the internet in the church office so we've been hanging out in the church office most of the morning. It's about lunch time here now.....I think we might venture our for some street food soon!
